It was the setting for one of the best KDramas of all time and every corner just warps you back into the world of Joo Joong Won, Tae Gong Shil and the scary beyond. Join me and let’s take a look at Enter 6 Dongtan Mall or popularly known as the “Master’s Sun” Kingdom Mall!
There are 4 things that you must check out inside Joong Won’s Kingdom Mall that I guarantee you will send you to KDrama heaven. The 4 must-sees are the fountain, benches, bridge and corridors (so basically every nook and cranny. LOL). Let’s go through the highlight of the mall first which is its fountain centerpiece. The fountain first appeared in episode 2 when it went viral for being haunted and was coined the “ghost fountain”. (“Beautiful Gong Shim” actress Bang Minah cameod in episode 2 as the student being haunted by her dead friend).
In an effort to get close to her ghost-shelter– Joong Won, Gong Shil applied as a cleaner for the Kingdom mall. Thus, making the fountain the site for some of their memorable scenes together.
#2 Benches. I don’t know what’s up with the weird statues but it’s cute and you really can’t resist snapping a photo with them.
#3 Bridge. The haunted bridge in episode 3, where the ghost of the lady shop owner appeared and thankfully caused panic-ridden Gong Shil to run into the awesome arms of Joong Won!!!! Thank you ghost, indeed!
Lastly, the corridors everywhere had a piece of the drama.
Ride subway line 1 headed to Sinchang. Alight at Byeongjeom and transfer to line headed to Seodongtan. Alight at Seodongtan station and since we arrived quite late we opted to take a taxi to Enter 6 Dongtan Metapolis Mall and paid KRW5,300 (Php230). If you want to take the bus then you just have to walk towards the bus stop near Shinil Happy Tree Apartment and take Bus 5-1 or 708 and get off at Metapolis.
I wanna thank my expedition partner-in-crime Grace for patiently touring with me. You can follow her at her IG account: getlostwith_grace.
